USCAC is committed to providing its members with regular competition in a social and fun atmosphere. We run a series of mini-meets – roughly every second Sunday afternoon (2pm-4pm) at the USC track. These run from about July each year until the following February, with a Christmas break.
You can see the schedule of mini-meets on our Event Calendar page.
The Winter Carnival is conducted in late July-early August each year and attracts athletes from all over south-east Queensland. The Winter Carnival is a popular event, being one of the first major carnivals of the Track and Field calendar outside of the metropolitan area.
Qualified officials are present at this event providing members with an opportunity to have their track times, throws and jumps officially recognized by Queensland Athletics at a local event.
Cross Country Series
USCAC runs an annual cross country series in association with the Maroochy Athletics Club. This very popular series of six events takes in several different scenic and interesting true cross-country courses – no concrete pavements here!
This is the only true cross country competition on the Sunshine Coast. There are events for all ages and abilities. For adults, there are three distances to choose from – 3km, 6km or 12km.
Trophies are awarded to placegetters in all categories.
More information is available from the Sunshine coast Cross Country Series page.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The AGM is held towards the end of May each year. The AGM will be seperate from the awards night as our season doesn’t finish until the end of September, so we will hold an awards night early in October.
